Job Description

We have an excellent opportunity for a Health Equity Director based in our Southfield office. This position will service the state of Michigan with a focus on the metro Detroit, Ann Arbor, Flint, Saginaw, and Grand Rapids areas.

The Health Equity Director is responsible for implementing a regional health equity plan within minority communities.

Responsibilities include: recruiting and mobilizing volunteers within the African American community; identify, cultivate, and secure prospective sponsors and strategic alliances in tandem with development staff; partnering with advocacy to increase engagement within the African American community; serving as liaison to governmental agencies focused on diversity and health disparities; managing the execution of events to increase attendance and impact

Required Skills
  • Ability to work on multi-disciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated relationship management is a must
  • Must be willing and able to travel 10%
Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 3 years experience in marketing and development outreach within the African American community
  • Demonstrated 3 years experience leading the community on health issues
  • Must pass a background check - criminal, credit & DMV
