Job Title : Senior Data Warehouse Architect

Location : 8410 W. Bryn Mawr Avenue, Chicago, IL 60631

Job Duties:

O Design a high performing Enterprise Data Warehouse;

O Collaborate with the stakeholders and build solutions.

O Participate in process improvement initiatives and in setting best practice standards;

O Provide expertise in the creation and refinement of agile technical stories for data architecture and development;

O Provide expertise in the development of standards, architectural governance, design patterns, and practices;

O Architect data-driven solutions;

O Lead the translation of business needs into feasible and acceptable data-centric semantic layer designs;

O Document and present relationships between business entities;

O Participate in discussions to prioritize and balance technical and business needs of the conceptual and logical data warehouse;

O Design physical data models, Data Warehouse Design;

O Design and document 3NF integration layer (normalized) and create dimensional presentation layer (de-normalized) of the data warehouse;

O Enhance existing models and a 3-layer architecture across technology platforms;

O Design, develop, document and articulate architecture of the enterprise data warehouse and data lake;

O Evaluate reusability of current solutions;

O Lead discussions to document database standards and procedures;

O Define Master Data Management solutions architecture and set technical direction and define component architecture;

O Participate in Data Governance Council;

O Coach, mentor, onboard new and junior associates.

Telecommuting within normal commuting distance of the office is permitted.

Minimum Requirements

Requirements:

The position of Senior Data Warehouse Architect requires a Bachelor's degree or its foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Math, Electronics, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology or a related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation.

Specific Skills or Other Requirements:

Additionally, the applicant must have the following:

1) Experience in design physical data models, Data Warehouse Design.

2) Experience in design, develop, document and articulate architecture of the enterprise data warehouse and data lake.

3) Expert in using standard modeling tools like Erwin, ERStudio

4) Experience in database performance facts, monitoring tools and tuning procedures.

5) Experience with Oracle & Exadata relational databases and Hive, HBase and Spark technologies.
